May 8, 2020 -   Seven-time GRAMMY winner and multi-platinum artist TobyMac surprised fans today with a very special and unique project, Lost Demos. Available at all DSPs, the collection contains seven never released tracks that he rediscovered while staying home during COVID-19.  

"My Lost Demos ep was birthed in the quarantine/safer at home (Covid-19) season," he says "I was digging through old laptops and hard drives and realized there were some beauties that hadn’t seen the light of day. Songs I could share that I hadn’t for one reason or another. Songs that have a special place in my heart but wound up on the island of “Misfit songs”. I hope some of these lost demos find a home in people’s headphones and maybe even their hearts. There are many reasons demos end up lost or forgotten. Most would assume they were not quite good enough to make the cut. But many times it may be that they simply don’t line up with the overall theme of an album or felt musically out of place within the body of work."

Partnering with High Profile Artists including TobyMac, Chris Tomlin and more, Parties Help Take Away Feelings of Isolation by Creating Community and Bringing People Together

Nashville, TN .... May 1, 2020 -  DJ Maj of TobyMac's Diverse City Band recently rolled out a Family Dance Party on his Instagram stories @playjamusic to bring people together and create community while so many are dealing with feelings of isolation due to COVID-19 stay at home mandates.  The party was so successful that he has expanded the concept and partnered with several high profile music festivals and artists including TobyMac, Chris Tomlin and more via their Insta story social media platforms.

"Originally I didn't plan to do more of these parties, but after the first one, the response I got from people who were really struggling with being at home, who lost jobs, who were fearful of what is happening, opened my eyes to how this could really help some people and start a conversation about mental health - something I've been passionate about for years."  After personal loss and soul searching, Maj embarked on a personal journey in what he calls “the language of vulnerability.”  The result was the result was the launch of www.djmaj.com/gethelp in 2019 to help nudge people toward tools to create community and advocate for vulnerability, honesty, and transparency. 

With suicide and depression/anxiety rates on an upward trajectory already, the COVID-19 crises has only worsened this trend, with rising call volumes at crises centers across the country.  In March 2020 alone, the Disaster Distress Helpline saw a 338 percent increase in call volume compared with February 2020.

6X GRAMMY Winner to Sing from Nashville Living Room

Grant Joins Multitude of Artists to Give Thanks to Vanderbilt University Medical Center Staff  via special “Gratitunes” 

Nashville, TN.... April 11, 2020 - This Easter Sunday, 6x GRAMMY-winner Amy Grant will do something she's never done before - perform on national TV from her living room.  Grant will appear on FOX & Friends during the 8am EST hour to sing "How Great Thou Art." 

Also on Easter, Grant is partnering with Gratitunes to give thanks to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) staff in Nashville by releasing "Carry You," a special video song message.  On National Doctors’ Day, March 30, Music Row and Nashville’s creative community came together to support VUMC staff through the launch of “Gratitunes,"  a consumer-generated music platform to celebrate and thank members of the VUMC family, through the power of music, for their dedication, empathy and unwavering commitment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Brad Paisley kicked-off the program and through the month of April, a new artist each day is sending a ‘Gratitune’ on their personal Instagram page.  

Individuals can visit www.gratitunes.com to add their own ‘Gratitune’ to a playlist, which will be made available to all COVID-19 VUMC Assessment Sites and the Hospital to help lessen stress and anxiety, and lift spirits. Once a Gratitune is shared, individuals will receive a unique graphic with their dedicated tune that can be shared across all social media platforms, using hashtags #Gratitunes and #VUMCHeroes, encouraging others to do the same. 

Grant recently helped the Grand Ole Opry continue its nearly 100-year history of consecutive Saturday Night broadcasts, playing its 4,917th Saturday night show to an empty Opry House, joining her husband and Opry member Vince Gill, alongside daughters Jenny Gill and Corrina Grant Gill. Grant also took a private moment and posted a performance dedicated to doctors, nurses, and all on the front lines helping serve COVID-10 patients on her FaceBook page late last week.

Loudwire Premieres New Endeavor for  Multi-Platinum Rockers

April 10, 2020 - They have played tens of thousands of shows all over the globe, been GRAMMY nominated, and sold over 12 million albums, but SKILLET has never had their own video game.  That all changed today whenLOUDWIRE premiered SKILLET'S "Save Me" video game, themed with the band's latest active rock track and music video of the same name. 

In the game, each of the bandmembers (John, Korey, Jen and Seth)  are characters fans can select and play as. Once a character is selected, the characters run through a maze where players are meant to avoid various aspects seen in the "Save Me" music video: the hand (callout to John’s scene), water/poison (callout to Jen’s scene), and fire (callout to John’s scene/smoking hands burning his eyes), which will be floating around chasing them; similar to the ghosts in Pac Man.  

Last week SKILLET premiered the music video for "Save Me" on their YouTube channel, and hosted a Q&A with over 10,000 fans.  The video has already garnered a million views. In light of COVD-19 leaving much of the world home-bound, Rend Collective has been posting what have become very popular livestream performances on their social platforms over the past week, aptly titled “The Socially Distant Worship Club.”   They also partnered with KLOVE/AIR1 last week for a special stream across their socials.

During these livestreams, the band has been performing the unreleased title track “I CHOOSE TO WORSHIP,” which has resonated greatly and created a significant amount of buzz from fans, therefore encouraging the band to offer the lyrics and sheet music to their website free of charge. Due to the response they received from the live streams, the band spontaneously released a liveperformance video of title track “I CHOOSE TO WORSHIP” yesterday as well. 

"Social distance is good for our health and the health of others," they said.  "We believe in it and support it. But it’s not really good for our souls. So we’d love to hang out, have some worship times together and offer a few wee words of encouragement and truth into this mess we’re all in. We’d love it if you would grab yourself a wee cup of tea and a biscuit and join us - we’re all stuck in the house anyway so we might as well do something constructive and life-giving. Let’s choose to worship together.  We plan to do this regularly over the coming days and weeks until this blows over so keep a wee eye out."  All videos are archived and available on Rend Collective's YouTube, IGTV and Facebook.

For as much as the sound progresses, he clings to a perennial theme. “There are several themes on the EP, but it all goes back to hope,” states Colton. “My goal is to spread hope. I see a lot of people looking for hope, and I’d love to come alongside of them and show support. I’ve learned so much about love.  Love isn't always a feeling.  Love is a commitment. Love sometimes means sacrifice. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to write about some of these things in the project. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (March 26, 2020) The Grand Ole Opry will broadcast around the world again this week for its 4,917th consecutive Saturday night. This week’s lineup is a true family celebration with Opry member Vince Gill set to take the stage alongside wife Amy Grant and daughters Jenny Gill and Corrina Grant Gill. 

With Nashvillians at home under Nashville Mayor John Cooper’s “Safer at Home” order and live shows paused at the Grand Ole Opry to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, this Saturday’s performance will once again take place without a live audience. Grand Ole Opry management has worked closely with the Nashville’s Director of Health to bring the show live to millions around the world while following strict safety protocols under the guidance of local health professionals. 

“As our city takes necessary public health measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, the Opry’s Saturday broadcast will be an important reminder to Nashvillians and millions of people around the world that the music will always continue playing in Music City,” said Nashville Mayor John Cooper. “With families safely watching and listening from their homes across our city, we are grateful to have some of our city’s greatest ambassadors – Vince Gill, Amy Grant and members of their family stepping on to the stage Saturday night to lift our spirits.”

 "I can't count the number of times I have walked through our house on the way to the coffee pot, hearing Vince or one of the kids working on a song and wishing the whole world was surrounded by music the way I have been,” said Amy Grant. “Music is healing and soul-filling and connects us to each other. The Gill family will step on the stage together this Saturday, March 28 at 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT. The show will be broadcast live on Circle, and on Gray TV stations and other TV affiliates in addition to a companion live stream on Circle’s Facebook and YouTube. TV and radio personality Bobby Bones will host the Circle telecast, while Opry announcer Mike Terry will join the Opry’s radio audience at the on-stage announcer podium. Embracing today’s technology, the Opry will be broadcast and streamed with a very small production team and just four artists performing acoustically on the Opry stage.

The 12th Annual event was emceed by Charles Esten at the Omni Nashville Hotel on Monday (2/24).

Reba McEntire had the Gala guests laughing – and in tears – over her warmhearted introduction of Grant, followed by a very special magical moment when Vince Gill and Grant’s daughter Corrina joined her father on the keys during his touching performance of “When My Amy Prays."Upon accepting her award, Grant gracefully noted that "The world will be changed in unimaginable ways because of our generosity and our effort.  All of us in this room tonight have learned the gift that if we give what we have there will always be enough; there will be more than we thought was there; that we can channel every good thing if we will just simply just open up. (January 15, 2020) - Yesterday, Billboard exclusively announced that Atlantic Records/Hear It Loud have signed Colton Dixon to an exclusive label deal.  The award-winning American Idol fan favorite and finalist will debut his first single in nearly three years, "Miracles" on January 24th. 

"Colton is a true talent with an amazing vocal tone and delivery," David Silberstein, Vice President, A&R at Atlantic told Billboard.  "Building on the strong foundation of Colton’s Christian music background, we’ve continued developing his songwriting with new lyrical concepts and productions that are very personal to him. “I’ve written so many songs over the past three years,” echoes Dixon about the time he's spent songwriting in Los Angeles. “Even though the world probably won’t hear them all, I enjoyed every session.  I’ve gotten to write with people from all different beliefs and walks of life. We were able to have real conversations about faith, family, struggles, and life, in general."

About the first single, "Miracles," he says, "This is a song that has meaning and depth, but it just feels fun musically.  Some things are more than coincidence. I believe there is a God who loves you and looking out for you. I’m pointing out to others that there’s more to life than meets the eye. I believe miracles happen all around us. I’d like to encourage all of us to slow down a bit, so we can see and appreciate the miracles for what they are.

"Miracles" also serves as a powerful conclusion to a longstanding collaboration with the late busbee [P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Jon Bellion, Gwen Stefani, etc]. Their partnership dates back to Colton’s first No. 1 single “You Are.”

“busbee was the best,” Colton smiles. “He made it a point to always hear my vision for what we were writing. He’d bring his expertise to it. I really appreciate how he took the time to understand and support what I wanted to do. We’re all going to miss him very much.”

" '21 years' is a song I wrote about the recent  passing of my firstborn son, Truett Foster McKeehan," he says about this most personal song.  "I loved him with all my heart. Until something in life hits you this hard, you never know how you will handle it. I am thankful that I have been surrounded by love, starting with God’s and extending to community near and far that have walked with us and carried us everyday. Writing this song felt like an honest confession of the questions, pain, anger, doubt, mercy and promise that describes the journey I’m probably only beginning. The rest is yet to come. One thing I know is that I am not alone. God didn’t promise us a life of no pain or even tragic death, but He did promise He would never leave us or forsake us. And I’m holding dearly to that promise for my son as well as myself."

Nashville, TN...(December 17, 2019) - Last night, just minutes before she was to take the stage for Christmas at the Ryman, the 12-night, annual sold-out residency with husband Vince Gill, multi-platinum and 6x GRAMMY winner Amy Grant was surprised by her label, Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG), with an award for 1 Billion Global Streams. 

With a career that spans more than 40 years, three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums, Grant’s total career album sales have exceeded 30 million – all before streams- which now continue to give her career even more longevity as we enter a new decade.

For the first time ever this fall, Grant is released her incredibly popular Christmas projects in a limited edition vinyl box set, which York also noted will be completely sold out before Christmas.  The one-of-a-kind set features the over 3x platinum Home for Christmas as well as two other classic Grant Christmas projects, A Christmas Album and A Christmas to Remember.  A special and nostalgic way to celebrate the projects that have made Grant synonymous with Christmas, the box set also includes a bonus 7" vinyl featuring two rare tracks – a cover of “Merry Christmas Darling” and “Let the Season Take Wing,” only available in the vinyl box set.  The set also includes handwritten lyrics of fan favorite “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)."

As one of the top-selling Christmas albums of all time, Grant's classic, Home for Christmas is also available for the first time ever on vinyl.  Originally released only on CD and cassette in 1992, the project features many of the biggest Christmas classics from Grant's four decades of making Christmas music, and something her fans have been clammoring for on vinyl for years.

Nashville, TN (December 5, 2019) - Tune in this Monday, December 9th, to watch Colton Dixon perform at the 97th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting, at 8 p.m. ET on REELZ and 9 p.m. ET on Ovation, Thanks to a partnership with the National Park Foundation, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, the broadcast offers a wonderful opportunity for friends and families across the country to rejoice in this holiday tradition together.

Hosted by country music star Jessie James Decker, and attended by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, Colton Dixon joined a melding of music, national parks, outdoor performances, and holiday cheer during the 97th National Christmas Tree Lighting. Featuring not only the official lighting of a new National Christmas Tree and timeless holiday tunes, the event is co-presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation and was filmed at the Ellipse in President’s Park (White House).

Dixon joined country singer and winner of The Voice Chevel Shepherd, The United States Air Force’s premier rock band Max Impact, country music artist and The Voice finalist Spensha Baker, the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, the West Tennessee Youth Chorus, and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.

Dixon has been writing and recording in Los Angeles for the majority of 2019 and is excited for the release of new music in early 2020. More details will be forthcoming after the holidays.

Nashville, TN ... (December 3, 2019) - 12-times multi-platinum rock band SKILLET are returning to the road in North America this winter in support of their tenth album Victorious, out now. Exclusively announced by LOUDWIRE, the band will embark on a headline trek, dubbed the “Victorious Tour,” which kicks off on February 6 in Wichita, Kansas and runs through March 14 in Norfolk, Virginia. Joining Skillet for this tour will be From Ashes to New and Ledger, the latter of which features Skillet drummer Jen Ledger. Skillet are fresh off back-to-back, Fall 2019 co-headline North American tours with Sevendust and Alter Bridge, respectively. The band just wrapped a sold-out headline tour of Europe, as well. 

“The whole band is excited to play new music and meet with the fans on the ‘Victorious Tour,’” says frontman John Cooper. “There’s something about going out on tour, connecting with fans, and having enough time to play everyone’s favorite song — whether it’s from the new album or hits from the Collide or Awake days. We wanted this tour to be very fan-focused so we went to our fans to build out the set list and added two VIP experiences, a Q&A, and a M&G, so there’s something for everyone.”

He continues, “The support on this tour is unreal. We reconnected with From Ashes to New at a festival this summer and I knew we had to have them out on the road. I’m also stoked to have Ledger back out and to introduce the band to Skillet fans who haven’t seen her rock live yet. This tour is going to be insane and we’re ready for it.”

The pre-sale is set for Tuesday, December 3 at noon EST, with the public on-sale slated for Friday, December 6 at 10am local time.
