“Reckless Love” Racks Up Honors As Bright Ones Given Distinction In Children’s Album Category
Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 17, 2018) – Bethel Music was honored with four wins at the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards with Cory Asbury and Bright Ones taking top honors. Asbury’s smash single “Reckless Love” garnered wins for Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year while the album of the same name captured the Worship Album of the Year title. Brian and Jenn Johnson trekked from Redding, Calif. to present Asbury’s special performance of the hit single.
"What a privilege this is," shared Asbury. "Isn't it just like the Lord to take our failures and our overall jacked-up’nes and turn it into something beautiful. He takes our disappointments and turns them into a dance floor. He allows us to be kids again."
Noted for breaking the mold of kid's worship, Bright Ones topped the Children’s Album Category. Fred Vassallo, Bright Ones Brand Manager and Choreographer, was on hand to accept the honor on behalf of the team.
Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards on Sun., Oct. 21.
Up next for Bethel Music will be the release of Wild from missional worship artist, Sean Feucht, on Nov. 2. For the latest on Bethel Music, stay tuned to www.BethelMusic.com.
